The Bohemia sparkling wine cellar is the leading provider of sparkling wine in the Czech Republic. It is situated in the town of Starý Plzenec in Bohemia. The wines for Bohemia Sekt Prestige traditionally come from Moravia; a renowned wine growing area with its origins dating back to the Celts. The Moravian vineyards lie on the 49th line of latitude – the same one as Champagne. The little town of Mikulov, where Bohemia Sekt develops its wines for sparkling wine production, is located on the southern slopes of the unique Palava heights. The climate is particularly warm and the clay, slate and loess soils are very calcareous, which is why the region produces sparkling wines with a distinctive mineral character.
The international award-winning Bohemia Sekt Prestige Brut Chardonnay is a single variety "Blanc de Blancs" made from Chardonnay grapes; a grape variety distinguished by its elegant character and finesse. The second fermentation takes places traditionally in the bottle, followed by a storage phase of 15 to 18 months. This golden-yellow sparkling wine unfolds an explosive wealth of aromas in the glass.
