François Président Brut
Törley as a successful pioneer
The story of the prestigious Törley cellar begins at the turn of the 20th Century. József Törley is the first to develop a successful sparkling wine brand outside of Champagne. He brings the knowledge from Rheims, where he worked with the most renowned Champagne houses. He also recognises that the calcareous soils of the Etyek-Buda region, Hungary's most important wine region, are similar to those of Champagne.
The "Champagne" from Hungary
The premium sparkling wine, François Président Brut, is not only part of a great history and bright future, but is also an excellent example of winegrowing in Hungary. After all, the Chardonnay and Pinot-Noir grapes used by the current cellar master at Törley to create an inspiring Cuvée come from the precise region of Etyek-Buda that is at the same altitude as Champagne and is blessed with the same soils. Tradition and the modern are united in the best way possible in every bottle of François Président Brut – no wonder that Törley is the Hungarian market leader for sparkling wine.
