YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Over the course of your vocational training, you will get to know our commercial departments and be actively involved in our international IT department. Once you have completed your vocational training, you will be qualified to work in any department, depending on your personal preferences.

 

TRAINING CONTENT

Practical part: Organising and evaluating marketing measures; HR services; wage and salary accounting; compiling statistics; accounting transactions; shipping management; processing orders; entering and updating data and information using company-specific procedure; assessing demand and procuring products and services; use of company-specific hardware and software. Theoretical part: You will complete a course of studies to obtain a Business Information Technology degree. The programme covers Business Studies; Economics; Programming; Business Mathematics; Statistics; Business English; Business Process Management; Law; Accounting; Software Engineering; Investments and Financing; Materials Management/Logistics/Production; Databases; Computer Networks/Architectures; EIS/KMS; e-Business; ERP Systems; Project Management; Marketing; HR and Organisation; IT Security; Corporate Management; and Information Management. All training takes place at a vocational school in Mainz [Berufsbildende Schule 1] and on our premises, while the course of studies is held at Mainz University of Applied Sciences, where you will obtain and broaden your expertise in specific fields. To complete your vocational training as a Computer Science Expert, you will take an examination at the Wiesbaden Chamber of Industry and Commerce. We also offer the option of working abroad at one of the subsidiaries within the Henkell Freixenet Group.

 

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

You have obtained general qualification for entrance to a university and/or university of applied sciences, with good to excellent marks in accordance with the German school system or equivalent in the main subjects. A marked interest in IT and business administration is a plus, as are excellent English skills and a knack for organisation. Training begins on 1 September; vocational training as a Computer Science Expert (m/f/o) takes 2.5 years, while the course of studies to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree takes 3.5 years.
