YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Fruit-Juice Expert (m/f/o), you produce wines and sparkling wines, monitoring fermentation processes, the selection of raw materials, and all processing operations. You bottle the finished product, operating all the machines in our bottling and packaging plant and conducting quality inspections for all processes. Over the course of the entire production process, you conscientiously observe hygiene regulations. As some of our production processes are automated, you operate and monitor computer-controlled plants in these sections. Your responsibilities also include cleaning and maintaining our machines and plants.

 

TRAINING CONTENT

Practical part: Training primarily takes place on our bottling and equipment lines and includes operating machines; conducting quality inspections; set-up and/or adjustment work; maintaining and inspecting machines and plants; handling raw, process and auxiliary materials; and optimising workflows. Theoretical part: Technology and Mathematics are at the core of this training. All content is taught at the vocational school in Geisenheim as well as on our premises. To complete your vocational training, you will take an examination at the Wiesbaden Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Once you have successfully completed your training, you will be qualified to take part in further training measures.

 

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

You have obtained a general certificate of secondary education (Realschulabschluss or equivalent) with good marks and have a technical interest, manual dexterity, diligence as well as a sense of responsibility. Sound knowledge in the field of natural sciences is a plus. Training begins on 1 September; vocational training as a Fruit-Juice Expert (m/f/o) takes 3 years.
