YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities include wiring, testing and measuring as well as putting components and plant sections into operation on site.

 

TRAINING CONTENT

Practical part: As an Electronics Technician (m/f/o), you will learn how to install and maintain our operating technology over the course of your vocational training. You will also obtain extensive expert knowledge on energy supply plants; repairing our production plants; and installing our communication and lighting technology. At the end of your training, you will be able to find, limit and fix errors, defects and disruptions, and will also have obtained the ability to programme and check our systems. Theoretical part: Electrical Engineering and Mathematics are at the core of this training. All content is taught at the Friedrich Ebert School in Wiesbaden as well as on our premises. To complete your vocational training, you will take an examination at the Wiesbaden Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

 

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

You have obtained a general certificate of secondary education (Realschulabschluss or equivalent), a leaving certificate from a vocational school or general qualification for university entrance (Abitur or equivalent), with good to excellent marks. You also have a technical interest, manual dexterity, diligence as well as a sense of responsibility. A sound understanding of mathematics and physics is a plus. Training begins on 1 September; vocational training  as an Industrial Electronics Technician (m/f/o) takes 3.5 years.
